San Diego Zoo Away Mission February 11, 2006, San Diego, CA
The San Diego Zoo is one of our favorite destinations in Southern California. The Zoo covers such a large amount of ground that it is literally impossible to see it all in one day. With hills, large enclosures, and special displays in nearly every corner, the Zoo requires a lot of walking!
The one behind has his nose dug into the other's back, sound asleep.
Another sleeping koala. They are just sooooo cute!
We hop the bus the first chance we get.
Marya and the Rivard family.
Bob and Alex.

Our second trip, Katie and Kim.
Mandy.
Juanita looking very bundled up.
Beautiful bridge in the background.
Walk up a GIANT hill, the old foggies labor along. ;-)
At the polar bear enclosure, one polar bear gives us quite an underwater show!
This polar bear thought the kids pressed up against the glass looked really yummy.
The second polar bear suns himself on the rock after skinny dipping.
On the aerial tram way, Marya is ready to go!
Gene hangs on for dear life.
Looking out over the tram's path. We are HIGH up.
I get Marya to take a pic.
